ArtWell is proud to announce that Program Director Julia Terry was named a Cultural Agent for the U.S. Department of Arts & Culture! The department’s mission is to spark creative social change through collective imagination – with a goal to shift our culture towards equity, empathy, and connection. To attain these goals, the department has appointed dozens of Cultural Agents across the country: artists, activists, scholars and thinkers, who will mobilize in an effort to engage their community through collaborative means.
As a Cultural Agent, Julia will embark on an important task for the Philadelphia region: develop an IMAGINING – an arts-infused gathering that will bring our community together to create a blueprint for cultural change in Philadelphia. The IMAGINING will take place at the ArtWell Festival in May (save the date!), and is truly one-of-a-kind in that it is completely student-led and education-focused. You will not want to miss this groundbreaking event!
